Bury Chippy motorised cassette awnings

At the Bury fish and chip shop in St Andrews street, Bury St Edmunds you can eat your fish and chips in the restaurant on the premises. The owners asked Baileys Blinds to install two awnings to provide shading for the restaurant during the mornings.

Baileys Blinds suggested remote control motorised awnings which enclose the fabric in a cassette to protect it from the elements  when it is not required during the winter.

The awnings had to be positioned up high on the shop front. They were too heavy to lift by hand so we used our awning hoist to manoeuvre the awnings into position, to be bolted onto the shop front using chemical fixings. The Somfy electric motors were connected to the power supply before the awnings were extended for the first time.

Thanks to the motorised cassette awnings supplied by Baileys Blinds the diners at the Bury Chippy in Bury St Edmunds can now enjoy their meals sheltered from glare and heat from the sun.
